Solutions Architect (Architecture)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise software organization in their search for a Solutions Architect to join their professional services team in Frankfurt. This role sits at the intersection of architecture, consulting, and hands-on implementation, working with enterprise clients to design and deliver world-class data protection and cyber resilience solutions.

As a Solutions Architect, you'll lead complex projects from design through implementation, working with global deployments across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. This is a senior technical position requiring both deep architectural expertise and strong client-facing consulting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise-scale architectures for data protection platforms, including both software and SaaS delivery models
• Engage with customers to understand their data management environment and develop pragmatic solutions for modern data protection, multi-cloud capability, and disaster recovery
• Create high-level and low-level design documentation for complex enterprise architectures
• Advise clients on cyber recovery strategies, develop proposals, and implement agreed-upon solutions
• Assess technical readiness and perform data migration tasks to transition customers from legacy backup infrastructure
• Troubleshoot complex systems across development, test, and production environments
• Lead diagnosis of complex technical problems and recommend solutions with minimal oversight
• Develop and implement software automation to streamline manual processes
• Create resolutions and recommendations based on incident investigations to enhance organizational protection and stability
• Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices to ensure optimal project delivery

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• Proven hands-on software architecture experience in enterprise environments
• Demonstrable experience designing and operating enterprise data protection solutions
• Consulting background in backup/recovery and data management
• Public cloud experience with Azure, AWS, and/or GCP
• Experience with SAN/NAS storage platforms (Pure, Dell/EMC, HDS, NetApp, etc.)
• Proven track record designing data protection or information management solutions
• Strong networking fundamentals including topologies and firewalls
• Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux servers, hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack), and containers (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker)
• Proficiency with backup and recovery for on-premise applications (Exchange, SharePoint, MSSQL, Oracle) and cloud platforms (O365, Salesforce, OneDrive/Google Drive)
• Strong DevOps background with modern CI/CD methodologies
• Experience with performance monitoring tools in Azure and system resource analysis
• Solid understanding of agile development methodologies
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for root cause analysis
• Excellent organizational skills for maintaining documentation and configuration standards
