Senior Frontend Engineer

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology company seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their product engineering team. In this role, you'll work on consumer-facing applications serving millions of users worldwide.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Drive frontend architecture decisions across component design, state management, and application structure
• Lead complex technical implementations using React, NextJS, and TypeScript at scale
• Shape shared design systems and influence frontend standards across multiple applications
• Mentor and develop engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and technical leadership
• Collaborate cross-functionally as a senior technical partner with product, design, and content teams from concept through delivery
• Own critical user journeys ensuring high standards for usability, accessibility, performance, and reliability
• Build and evolve APIs consuming and shaping GraphQL and REST services; contribute to Node.js backend services as needed
• Champion engineering best practices around code quality, testing strategy, performance optimization, and security
• Stay current by attending conferences, bringing fresh ideas, and pragmatically applying frontend trends
• Identify and address risks proactively surfacing technical constraints and opportunities in CI/CD, developer experience, and delivery workflows

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Extensive professional experience as a Senior Frontend or Full-Stack Engineer in large-scale production environments
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript
• Deep hands-on experience with React and NextJS or comparable modern frontend frameworks
• Strong understanding of web performance, accessibility (WCAG), and responsive design
• Proven experience mentoring junior and mid-level engineers and fostering their technical growth
• Excellent communication skills and track record collaborating with design, product, and content teams
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle including testing, CI/CD, and automation

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with MACH or composable architectures
• Knowledge of Core Web Vitals and frontend performance monitoring
• Familiarity with AWS or GCP and infrastructure as code
• Experience with event-driven or distributed systems
• Strong DevOps mindset and experience in containerized environments
