About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential AI technology organization seeking a Software Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in London. This is not a side project—interns own real, production work on core product roadmaps with mentorship from experienced engineers. Many interns transition to full-time roles after their program.
Our client works with enterprise and public sector customers to build AI systems that deliver measurable impact. The engineering team focuses on creating reliable infrastructure, evaluation tools, and applications that serve millions of end users.
Responsibilities
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will contribute to one or more of the following areas:
- Build reinforcement learning and post-training data pipelines for model development
- Develop evaluation infrastructure that measures model reliability for enterprise customers
- Ship agentic AI applications and tooling for observability, testing, and safe deployment
- Create fraud-detection systems and quality assurance mechanisms for large-scale platforms
- Design matching algorithms that optimize task assignment for accuracy and turnaround
- Develop UI/UX tooling combined with ML algorithms for complex task completion at scale
- Build AI infrastructure products for data visualization, querying, and exploration
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028 with a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, EECS, Computer Engineering, Statistics, or related field
- Available for a Summer 2027 internship with May/June start dates
- Product engineering experience building web applications full-stack, integrating with APIs and services, and iterating based on customer needs
- Previous Computer Science or Software Engineering internship experience
- Track record of shipping high-quality products and features
- Experience building systems that process large volumes of data
- Proficiency with Python, TypeScript, React, and/or MongoDB
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, evaluations, or agentic systems through coursework, research, or personal projects
- Open source contributions or portfolio of shipped side projects
