Software Engineer (.NET C#)

Responsibilities

• Engage in all phases of application development with emphasis on coding, debugging, and security standards throughout the software development lifecycle
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code and APIs supporting web and mobile applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA, designers, and fellow developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Work closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing components with server-side logic
• Identify performance bottlenecks and bugs, devising solutions to address technical challenges
• Optimize web applications for performance, scalability, and security
• Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and mitigate potential threats
• Develop automation tests and collaborate with QA engineers to ensure comprehensive regression testing
• Provide technical support to end users as needed
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance backend infrastructure
• Document application support processes and operational procedures
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support their professional development

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience building scalable and reliable systems
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of.NET C#, LINQ, MS SQL, Entity Framework, and related Microsoft technologies
• Proficiency with version control systems such as Git
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles and clean code practices
• Experience designing and consuming web service protocols including REST APIs with focus on extensibility and integration
• Proven ability debugging complex applications in production environments
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and project management frameworks
• Database development experience with SQL Server or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Docker containerization
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in team settings
• Experience with Azure, AWS, RabbitMQ, or Quartz is a plus
