Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer focused on Artificial Intelligence, you'll take ownership of critical AI and machine learning initiatives while mentoring junior engineers and advancing our technical capabilities. This role bridges research and production—translating cutting-edge algorithms into scalable, reliable systems that solve real-world challenges in the energy and sustainability space.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize machine learning models and AI-powered features for production environments
• Own end-to-end development of AI systems, from data pipeline architecture through model training, evaluation, and deployment
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and infrastructure engineers to define technical requirements and deliver integrated solutions
• Write clean, maintainable code using best practices in version control, testing, and documentation
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers on the AI team
• Monitor model performance in production, diagnose issues, and implement continuous improvements
• Evaluate emerging AI frameworks, tools, and techniques to strengthen our technical stack

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated expertise in machine learning and artificial intelligence
• Strong proficiency in Python and at least one additional programming language
• Hands-on experience building, training, and deploying machine learning models at scale
• Solid understanding of software architecture, system design, and data structures
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving ability and capacity to work both independently and collaboratively
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
