About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential EdTech client seeking experienced Site Reliability & Engineering Coaches to work with students and professionals building careers in site reliability engineering. This is a flexible, remote opportunity for SRE practitioners who want to share their expertise through coaching and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Teach core site reliability engineering skills including system monitoring, incident response, performance optimization, and automation
- Guide students through practical skill-building exercises and real-world SRE scenarios
- Provide career support including resume review, cover letters, LinkedIn optimization, and behavioral interview preparation
- Conduct technical interview preparation sessions focused on SRE concepts and problem-solving
- Advise on salary negotiation, promotion strategy, and professional networking approaches
- Support students pursuing independent consulting or freelancing in site reliability
- Host virtual coaching sessions on a flexible schedule
- Partner with internal teams to ensure high-quality student experiences
What We're Looking For
- Professional experience in site reliability engineering roles
- Prior coaching, mentoring, or teaching experience
- Clear, structured approach to breaking down complex technical concepts for diverse learners
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt teaching style to individual needs
- Experience with incident management, monitoring tools, automation frameworks, and performance tuning
- Ability to provide practical career guidance beyond technical skills
- Self-directed and comfortable setting your own schedule and rates
- Located in the United States
