SEO/ASO Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing technology company in the connected family services space. Our client is seeking an SEO/ASO Manager to lead organic discovery strategy across search engines, AI platforms, and app stores. This is a remote position open to candidates across the United States.

This role sits within the eCommerce and Journey Marketing function, where you'll own the intersection of technical SEO, content strategy, and app store optimization. You'll manage a small team and work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Marketing to build the technical foundation and content depth that drives organic growth in an AI-first discovery landscape.

Responsibilities

• Manage a Content Strategist and supporting agency partners, setting quality standards for all published content
• Own unified organic discovery strategy across SEO, AEO/GEO (AI Engine Optimization), and ASO, ensuring search rankings, AI citations, and app store presence operate as a coordinated system
• Lead content strategy and editorial calendar, setting topical roadmap, content hierarchy, and publishing cadence across blog, product pages, help content, and comparison pages
• Build and maintain site information architecture, including URL structure, taxonomy, internal linking, and navigation logic
• Execute AEO optimization by implementing structured data, shaping content for AI parsing, and building signals that AI models prioritize
• Monitor and grow AI citation share across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews, tracking citation rates and identifying content gaps
• Lead technical SEO health: manage crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, canonical and redirect logic, hreflang implementation, and structured data integrity
• Optimize landing pages and FAQ content for both traditional search performance and AI answer eligibility
• Drive off-page authority strategy in partnership with PR, identifying link-building opportunities and editorial placements
• Own regional SEO localization including locale-specific keyword research, localized content briefs, and coordinated ASO refreshes
• Deliver performance reporting across organic sessions, AI citation rate, app store rank, and organic revenue contribution

What We're Looking For

• 5–8 years of experience in content strategy and SEO, with measurable organic performance improvement on apps and websites
• Proven AEO experience: understanding of how LLMs parse content, what structured data signals matter for AI citation, and implemented strategies that improved visibility in generative search results
• Strong technical SEO foundation: experience working with Engineering on crawl health, indexation, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and site architecture; ability to write detailed technical briefs and QA implementation
• Content strategy ownership: built and run editorial calendars, managed content production workflows, conducted content gap analysis, and made strategic decisions about topical authority and content hierarchy
• AI-native operator: active use of AI tools in workflow for content research, brief generation, structured data implementation, and performance analysis
• Global SEO experience: hreflang implementation, locale-specific keyword strategy, and regional content localization across multiple markets
• Data-driven decision maker who can build performance dashboards, identify anomalies, and translate organic metrics into business impact narratives
• Proficiency with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, or equivalent; Google Search Console; experience with ASO platforms (AppTweak, Sensor Tower) is a strong plus
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to work with Engineering, Product, Marketing, and PR teams
• Clear, confident communicator who can advocate for organic investment and influence prioritization across teams

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $121,500 to $178,500 USD annually, depending on experience, skills, and geographic location. Our client also offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, equity, flexible PTO, paid parental leave, and learning and development programs.
