Senior Technical Sales Specialist, BioProduction Cell Culture (MA)

ThermoFisher Scientific seeks a Senior Technical Sales Specialist to lead bioproduction cell culture sales in the Harvard Square area. In this full-time position, you'll drive growth by advising biotech and pharmaceutical customers on optimizing their cell culture systems and bioprocessing workflows.

About the Role

This is a field-based sales position where you'll combine deep technical expertise with consultative selling to support customers building scalable bioproduction capacity. Your work will directly enable innovation in therapeutics development, vaccine production, and regenerative medicine across the Northeast.

What You'll Do

• Build and manage relationships with research teams, manufacturing engineers, and procurement stakeholders at biotech, pharmaceutical, and contract manufacturing organizations
• Conduct technical assessments of customer cell culture and bioprocess environments to identify solutions that improve yield, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Develop and deliver product demonstrations, feasibility studies, and business cases tailored to each customer's production goals
• Serve as a trusted technical resource, translating complex bioprocessing challenges into actionable product recommendations
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams to ensure customer success post-sale
• Maintain detailed customer records and contribute to regional sales forecasting and pipeline management

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record in technical sales of bioprocess equipment, culture systems, or cell biology products to commercial or research customers
• Strong knowledge of mammalian and microbial cell culture, bioreactor systems, scale-up principles, or related bioprocessing disciplines
• Ability to translate technical specifications into customer value propositions
• Excellent communication skills—comfortable presenting to C-suite executives and bench scientists alike
• Self-directed field sales experience with a consultative, solution-focused approach
• Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs. and traveling within the region as needed
• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemical engineering, bioengineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
