About the Role

As a Staff Scientist - Biopharmaceuticals, GMP at ThermoFisher Scientific in Middleton, Dane County, you will work on-site in a combined laboratory and office setting on a standard Monday-to-Friday schedule. Key Responsibilities

• Carry out laboratory and biopharmaceutical activities in full compliance with all applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Follow established GMP safety standards throughout each stage of your work.
• Handle hazardous and toxic materials responsibly, using correct procedures and controls.
• Wear the required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gowning, gloves, a lab coat, and ear plugs as needed.
• Perform duties that involve standing for the duration of a full shift.
• Safely lift loads of up to 40 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications

• A scientific background suited to a Staff Scientist role within a regulated biopharmaceutical setting.
• Familiarity with, and a commitment to, working under GMP requirements and safety standards.
• Comfort working in a hands-on laboratory environment that includes exposure to hazardous or toxic materials.
• Physical capability to stand for a full shift and lift 40 lbs unaided.
• Willingness to consistently follow PPE and gowning protocols.
