About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their local payments technology team in Berlin. Our client is scaling rapidly and building sophisticated payment infrastructure that serves millions of consumers globally. This is a high-impact role where you'll own products end-to-end, work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, and contribute to both technical architecture and team culture.
Responsibilities
- Own products and services from initial requirements through production deployment
- Design and build scalable payment systems that handle massive transaction volumes
- Participate in architectural decisions and define technical direction for your team
- Collaborate in small, agile teams using modern methodologies including pair and mob programming
- Take operational responsibility for services you build, including participation in on-call rotation
- Mentor and support other engineers while sharing knowledge and evolving best practices
- Solve complex technical problems using Java, Kotlin, and cloud-native technologies
What We're Looking For
- Results-oriented engineer with a collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
- Multiple years of experience with Java or similar general-purpose programming languages
- Proven track record designing and building scalable products and services
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Strong problem-solving abilities and pragmatic aGet A Job.aiach to technical challenges
- Working proficiency in English
- Familiarity with modern frameworks (Spring Boot, Micronaut, React), event-driven architectures, Kubernetes, and Docker is valued
