Senior Software Engineer, Kubernetes

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise software organization that is transforming how businesses orchestrate complex processes at scale. Our client operates a global SaaS platform trusted by hundreds of major enterprises worldwide, and we're seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep Kubernetes expertise to join their cloud infrastructure team.

This is a fully remote position where you'll develop and maintain Kubernetes Operators that power a multi-tenant cloud platform serving customers across all industries. You'll work on challenging problems related to infrastructure automation, multi-cloud deployments, and platform reliability at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Kubernetes Operators that manage core platform services for a global SaaS offering
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and field operations to define and ship platform features
• Work on projects enabling multi-region deployments, cross-cloud capabilities, and enterprise-grade security features
• Proactively identify and implement improvements to codebase security, stability, and reliability
• Contribute to building a team culture that values both innovation and pragmatic engineering practices
• Participate in on-call rotation and third-level escalation support to maintain platform reliability objectives

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Strong experience with Go or another relevant language for cloud-native software development
• Practical experience with at least one major cloud service provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and deep understanding of its core concepts
• Collaborative mindset with willingness to share knowledge and contribute to engineering culture
• Pragmatic and autonomous approach to programming and problem-solving
• "You build it, you run it" mentality with passion for automation and quality

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience writing and maintaining Kubernetes Operators, ideally with Controller-Runtime and Kubebuilder
• Familiarity with infrastructure topics such as multi-region or multi-cloud provider setups, ideally with Crossplane
