About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential sustainability technology client seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Munich-based team. Our client builds software solutions that help industrial organizations measure, manage, and reduce their environmental impact through data-driven insights.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take full ownership of complex technical initiatives from concept through production. You'll work at the intersection of product development and technical architecture, making decisions that shape both individual features and the broader platform. This role requires someone who can dive deep into technical complexity while maintaining strong product judgment and customer focus.
Responsibilities
- Own technically complex product features end-to-end, from problem definition through architecture, implementation, deployment, and iteration
- Design and build full-stack solutions that transform fragmented data into actionable insights for industrial clients
- Identify and eliminate unnecessary complexity while challenging assumptions to focus on meaningful customer value
- Contribute to platform-level improvements that enhance reliability, maintainability, and developer effectiveness
- Raise technical quality standards through thoughtful design, code reviews, and hands-on collaboration with engineering teammates
- Partner closely with product, design, and customer success teams to solve ambiguous problems with clear technical solutions
- Mentor other engineers and elevate the overall effectiveness of the engineering organization
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on TypeScript experience in high-velocity SaaS environments
- Strong full-stack capabilities with deep understanding of systems end-to-end
- Backend development experience, ideally with PostgreSQL and Azure
- Clear, precise communication skills in English
- Self-driven problem solver with strong ownership mentality and execution focus
- Experience navigating complex technical problem spaces and making sound architectural decisions
- Track record of shipping product features that create measurable customer value
- German language skills are a plus
