Intern Deployment Engineer – Data & AI

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise software organization seeking an Intern Deployment Engineer - Data & AI for their Munich office. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of AI-augmented delivery, process intelligence, and customer-facing technical consulting.

In this role, you'll learn how modern technical delivery works in the AI era—not by building everything manually, but by directing AI agents, validating their outputs, and focusing on the business logic and customer value that technology enables. You'll work alongside experienced engineers on real customer projects, gaining exposure to enterprise business processes, data analytics, and emerging AI-assisted development practices.

Responsibilities

Initiate and Connect

• Participate in customer-facing sessions alongside senior engineers to discuss ongoing projects and translate strategic objectives into technical use cases
• Assist in gathering and organizing data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency for analysis
• Attend team meetings and workshops to gain insight into technical and business decision-making processes

Build

• Learn to direct AI deployment agents to build data models, process analyses, KPIs, and dashboards by writing clear specifications
• Conduct exploratory data analysis using process intelligence and analytics tools to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and root causes
• Assist in defining solution design blueprints and configuring operational solutions

Value & Rollout

• Support validation of AI-generated outputs for accuracy and business relevance alongside senior team members
• Help develop and maintain KPIs to track project success and quantify business impact
• Assist in documenting solution design decisions and configurations for customer handover

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in Technology Management, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or comparable degree program with strong academic performance
• Knowledge in Business Intelligence, data analytics, and foundational understanding of enterprise business processes
• Experience in programming and working with databases; proficiency in SQL, Python, or related query languages
• Curiosity and basic familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, coupled with eagerness to learn prompt and context engineering
• Interest in customer-facing work with strong presentation and communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, work independently, and think creatively
• Fluent in English and German (additional languages are a plus)
• At least 5 months of full-time availability required
