About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare technology organization that is transforming diagnostic imaging through advanced AI solutions. This is a remote Senior Software Engineer position where you'll build production systems that directly support clinical workflows and patient care delivery.
We're seeking an experienced full-stack engineer to architect and implement scalable distributed systems that handle sensitive medical data with the highest standards of reliability and security.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable microservices architectures using Kubernetes for container orchestration
- Develop event-driven systems with message queues for reliable asynchronous data processing
- Create robust FastAPI backends that process and serve medical imaging data at production scale
- Implement comprehensive CI/CD pipelines with testing, monitoring, and deployment automation
- Design data architectures using SQL databases with optimized indexing and caching strategies
- Build monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for high-reliability clinical environments
- Develop integrations with external healthcare systems using HL7 and FHIR standards
- Create modern React frontends for clinical data management workflows
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience with shipped production applications
- Strong system design skills with proven experience architecting distributed systems and microservices
- DevOps expertise including Kubernetes, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and Google Cloud Platform
- Backend development proficiency in Python with Flask or FastAPI frameworks
- Database expertise in SQL and relational data modeling for complex data structures
- Experience implementing message queues and event-driven architecture patterns
- Strong communication skills and pragmatic problem-solving approach
- Frontend competency in TypeScript and React
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare or medical software development experience
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (GDPR, ISO 13485)
- Experience integrating machine learning models into production workflows
- Security mindset with threat modeling and compliance experience
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi
- Experience with WebGL, WebGPU, or medical imaging frameworks
