(Senior) SAP ABAP Developer / Architect – Data Management & ILM (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential SAP consultancy in their search for a Senior SAP ABAP Developer / Architect specializing in Data Management and Information Lifecycle Management (ILM). In this role, you will:

• Develop and customize client-specific solutions for SAP ILM and data management initiatives
• Implement compliance and ILM requirements through technical analysis and custom development
• Design technical solution architectures for SAP data management and ILM projects
• Advise clients on complex transformation and compliance requirements
• Create and optimize reports and programs related to data protection, data volume management, and data assessment
• Execute data cleansing and volume optimization projects, ensuring high data quality standards
• Support system decommissioning, archiving, and data offloading initiatives
• Conduct workshops and training sessions when needed to share your data management expertise

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a candidate with:

• A completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a MINT field, or comparable qualification
• Strong experience in SAP ABAP development with confidence navigating complex SAP system landscapes
• Proven track record successfully implementing SAP projects and developing custom solutions for clients
• Deep technical understanding of data structures, data models, tables, and SQL
• Ability to understand business processes and apply both technical and functional concepts
• Analytical thinking, solution-oriented approach, and strong service mentality
• Self-directed work style with creativity and independence
• Excellent communication skills in both German and English
• Team player mindset with strong collaborative abilities
