Senior Sales Engineer, DACH

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity organization seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join their growing team in Germany. Our client delivers advanced autonomous security testing solutions that help organizations proactively identify and remediate vulnerabilities across complex IT environments. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical sales professional who wants to make a real impact in the DACH region.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical expertise during the sales cycle, demonstrating deep knowledge of cybersecurity products and services to prospects and clients
• Engage with potential customers to understand their security needs, challenges, and infrastructure requirements
• Conduct live product demonstrations and proof of concepts, tailoring each presentation to specific customer concerns
• Collaborate with sales and product teams to design and refine solutions based on customer feedback
• Provide technical training to sales team members to enhance their selling capabilities
• Serve as a feedback loop between field experiences and product/engineering teams
• Support technical sections of RFPs and RFIs
• Occasionally assist with post-sales implementation to ensure customer satisfaction
• Travel up to 50% within the region as needed

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (advanced degrees are a plus)
• 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, ideally in the cybersecurity domain
• Strong understanding of cyber threats, risk management, and cybersecurity solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German (business level) and English (fluent)
• Proven ability to simplify complex technical topics for non-technical audiences
• Highly collaborative mindset with strong initiative
• Willingness to travel up to 50% for customer meetings and events

Pay

The compensation range for this position is €160,000 - €190,000 OTE with a 70/30 base/commission split annually. Final compensation will be determined based on your location, qualifications, experience, and relevant skills. This role is also eligible for equity in the form of stock options.
