Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential energy infrastructure organization seeking a Senior Purchasing Manager to join their team in München. In this role, you will:
- Manage procurement of components and services for large-scale energy storage systems and related infrastructure, both domestically and internationally
- Conduct independent contract and price negotiations with suppliers, ensuring competitive terms and conditions
- Analyze and evaluate supplier proposals, preparing decision documents for award recommendations
- Build and develop a reliable supplier network while maintaining long-term partnerships
- Ensure compliance with quality and sustainability requirements throughout procurement processes
- Coordinate closely with project management and cross-functional teams to ensure timely availability of required components
- Monitor relevant market developments, identify cost-saving opportunities, and assess risks in supplier selection and supply chain management
What We're Looking For
- Completed business degree or comparable qualification with several years of relevant professional experience
- Practical experience in purchasing technical components, ideally in battery storage systems or comparable technical installations
- Proficiency with MS Office and ideally experience working with ERP systems
- Strong English language skills, both written and verbal, with confidence communicating with international business partners
- Independent and structured working style with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities and maintain overview with competing priorities
- Team-oriented approach with clear and reliable communication toward internal departments and external partners
