About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential edtech organization at the forefront of technical workforce development. Our client has trained tens of thousands of learners and is now scaling rapidly to meet the demands of the AI era. They are building toward millions of learners with a platform that must maintain teaching quality while growing by orders of magnitude.
As Senior Product Manager for the Learner Platform Experience, you will own the entire platform that every student touches when they log in. This is a remote, full-time role reporting to the Chief Product Officer. The core challenge is scale: maintaining and improving learning effectiveness as user volume multiplies dramatically.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete learner platform experience across multiple student segments, from college students to working professionals
- Translate learning, retention, and engagement goals into a prioritized product roadmap
- Build and scale AI-assisted learning features end-to-end, including AI tutoring and automated grading systems
- Determine where AI accelerates effectiveness versus where human connection remains essential for learner motivation and progress
- Collaborate with curriculum, instruction, and engineering teams while maintaining clear ownership of the platform layer
- Set quality standards for design and interaction across all learner touchpoints
- Define success metrics proving measurable improvement in learning rate, retention, and engagement at scale
- Design and execute experiments grounded in user discovery to validate product bets
- Use AI tooling across your workflow to compress delivery timelines from weeks to days
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Experience scaling a live product that real users depended on daily, with proven ability to improve quality while usage grew
- Zero-to-one instincts: you can inherit a product without documentation or process and independently map current state and chart the path forward
- AI-native workflow with demonstrated examples of using AI tools for prototyping, requirements, and analysis in hours rather than months
- Track record building products where engagement and retention were primary success metrics
- Ability to hold and defend strong product opinions under pressure with clear reasoning
- Comfort operating in ambiguity, structuring complex problems, and driving execution without a playbook
- Strong analytical capabilities: defining meaningful metrics and interpreting data to make decisions
- Ability to write requirements that engineering teams trust and sell product strategy to technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred qualifications:
- Fluency with modern PM tools including product analytics platforms (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Hex), design tools (Figma, Framer), SQL, and AI development assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar)
- Background in educational technology, learning platforms, consumer education products, or working knowledge of learning science
- Experience with AI tutoring, adaptive learning systems, or personalization engines
- Founder experience or equivalent time in hyperscaling environments
We encourage applications from candidates who meet most but not all qualifications. Strong candidates often bring unexpected combinations of experience.
