Senior Product Designer, London, UK

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital health organization expanding its platform across multiple international markets. They are seeking a Senior Product Designer to own problem areas end-to-end, working on regulated healthcare experiences that directly impact patient outcomes.

This is a remote role based in London, UK, requiring 3 days per week in their Old Street office.

Responsibilities

• Own a problem area across connected surfaces from definition through delivery, not just a queue of screens
• Research, design, write, test, measure, and iterate—driving the work forward without waiting for specifications
• Move commercial outcomes on your surface: activation, conversion through regulated intake, retention, and adherence
• Create designs that build trust and meet regulatory requirements in a healthcare context
• Conduct your own research and usability testing to validate solutions
• Set up and analyze A/B tests, using data to inform design decisions
• Write UX copy that balances craft with compliance in a regulated market
• Contribute to design systems that others build upon, thinking across mobile and emerging platforms including AI-native interfaces
• Share work early and often, using critique to sharpen solutions and lift the quality of every review
• Raise the bar for the team through sharp critique and mentoring junior designers

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• Typically 5 to 8 years in product design with a track record of owning problems end-to-end
• Portfolio demonstrating problem-solving that moved commercial levers, not just well-made screens—must show outcomes, craft, contribution to design systems, and how AI has improved your process
• Applications without a portfolio will not be considered

Core Skills:

• Problem definition: Shape problems using research, data, and team input—break down ambiguity and package it into something buildable
• Visual craft: Non-negotiable excellence in typography, spacing, color, motion, and micro-interactions used with intent
• Accessibility: Design inclusively by default, understanding why standards exist and making judgment calls checklists cannot make
• Systems thinking: Design across surfaces and contribute to infrastructure that compounds value
• Product and commercial sense: Shape what gets built using metrics, research, and commercial awareness alongside craft
• Communication: Clear, specific, and opinionated—articulate what you decided and what you chose not to do, and why

AI-Enhanced Workflow:

• LLMs embedded in your workflow for tighter build-measure-learn loops
• Experience prototyping in tools like Claude Code and Cursor to test ideas in real code, not just mock them up
• Judgment spent where it counts, not just tool accumulation

Full-Stack Design Approach:

• End-to-end capability from problem definition and research to information architecture and UX writing
• Validation and experimentation mindset
• Ability to work in regulated environments where writing is both craft and compliance

Attitude and Behaviors:

• Patient-first mindset: Balance commercial growth with clinical safety—understand real health journeys well enough to make them simple, accessible, and trustworthy
• Collaborative creation: Work effectively across product, engineering, and clinical teams, listening to feedback and using it to improve the work
• Curiosity: Ask why before how, stay curious about patients and problems, and remain comfortable being a beginner when learning something worthwhile

Pay
