Senior Product Designer (B2B SaaS Startup)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a fast-growing, venture-backed B2B SaaS startup based in Berlin. This confidential client operates in the compliance technology space, serving enterprise customers across Europe. They've achieved significant growth over the past year and are building a lean, high-impact product organization.

We're seeking a Senior Product Designer who can own the complete design cycle—from user problem to shipped interface—with minimal handoffs and maximum autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Own the full design loop from initial user problem through shipped interface, partnering closely with engineering
• Leverage AI tools alongside traditional design methods to prototype and iterate quickly
• Design interactions from first principles rather than defaulting to component libraries
• Craft polished details that build trust in a compliance-focused product
• Work in small, focused pods with minimal organizational layers
• Drive measurable outcomes and user impact, not just deliverables
• Extend beyond pure design when needed—reading API specifications, engaging users directly, or building in code

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record shipping interfaces that users navigate intuitively, with measurable impact
• Strong visual sensibility, exceptional attention to detail, and high craft standards
• Range across design, product, and engineering disciplines—you've built prototypes without waiting for a brief
• Experience using AI coding tools to build functional prototypes and realize your vision independently
• Demonstrated use of AI workflows that enhance your productivity, with the judgment to edit or reject AI output
• Comfort working in ambiguity; you ship, gather feedback, and iterate rather than seeking complete clarity upfront
• Portfolio or work examples required
• Fluency in English (C1 level or higher) required; German (C1) is a plus
• Based in Berlin or willing to relocate
• Ideally, experience with products in regulated or high-stakes domains (fintech, healthtech, logistics, compliance)

This role is not suitable if you: prefer clearly defined briefs from product managers, avoid working in code or with AI tools, consider Figma handoffs the end of your responsibility, or measure success by taste alone rather than outcomes.
