Senior Post-Market Surveillance Manager (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential medical-device organization in Germany that is seeking a Senior Post-Market Surveillance Manager to build and operate their global post-market surveillance system. In this hands-on role, you will:

• Design, build, and run the global post-market surveillance system including complaint handling, adverse-event and vigilance reporting, escalation procedures, and governance frameworks
• Remain hands-on for complex or high-risk cases requiring senior oversight
• Own the complete complaint-to-report pipeline, including reportability assessments and timely, accurate adverse-event and vigilance submissions across multiple markets (US, EU, and others)
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and trending methodologies that surface safety, quality, and customer-experience signals
• Transform post-market findings into actionable improvements via CAPA, risk management, product and software fixes, and labeling updates
• Lead cross-functional rollout of post-market processes, managing implementation plans, priorities, dependencies, and risk
• Present post-market performance and recommendations to leadership
• Support PMS reports, PSURs, and management reviews
• Serve as subject matter expert during audits and inspections
• Guide internal teams and external partners on post-market surveillance activities

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in medical-device post-market surveillance, complaint handling, quality, or regulatory affairs, including leading process implementations
• Bachelor's degree minimum
• Hands-on experience with complaint investigations, reportability assessments, and regulatory submissions (FDA MDR, EU MDR vigilance/PMS, ISO 13485, ISO 14971)
• Proven experience with post-market data analysis
• Program management skills with ability to manage workstreams, stakeholders, and dependencies
• Analytical mindset capable of turning complaint data into risk-based recommendations
• Strong communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams, leadership, and regulators
• Hands-on, independent leadership style with demonstrated ability to scale processes

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with additional international markets
• Familiarity with digital complaint-management systems
