In this role, you'll serve as a trusted scientific resource and medical expert supporting healthcare providers and clinical leaders across the cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic therapeutic landscape.

About the Role

As a Therapeutic Area Pipeline Medical Science Liaison, you are the credible field medical partner responsible for advancing Genentech's CVRM pipeline objectives across the Mid-Atlantic region. You'll translate complex clinical science into actionable guidance for healthcare systems, physician networks, and medical professionals, supporting both current initiatives and emerging pipeline programs.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a primary scientific advisor to healthcare providers, offering peer-to-peer medical consultation on Genentech therapeutics and clinical trial opportunities
• Build strategic relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals to understand clinical needs and practice priorities
• Provide evidence-based education on clinical efficacy, safety data, trial design, and emerging research relevant to cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic disease management
• Support clinical trial recruitment and physician engagement by presenting study protocols, enrollment criteria, and patient population insights
• Maintain current knowledge of medical literature, clinical practice trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments in your therapeutic area
• Collaborate cross-functionally with medical affairs, clinical development, and commercial teams to advance pipeline strategy
• Document medical interactions and field insights to inform clinical development, regulatory strategy, and medical communications
• Travel regularly throughout your Mid-Atlantic territory to support relationship development and medical education initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Advanced degree in pharmacy, nursing, clinical research, or related life sciences discipline
• Substantial professional experience as a Medical Science Liaison or similar clinical field-based role
• Credible expertise in cardiovascular, renal, metabolic disease management, or related therapeutic specialty
• Demonstrated ability to communicate sophisticated medical and scientific content clearly to medical professionals
• Strong understanding of clinical trial operations, healthcare provider networks, and the physician landscape
• Proven track record building professional relationships and establishing scientific credibility with healthcare leaders
• Self-directed approach to territory planning, strategic account development, and professional networking
• Strong presentation, analytical, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
