Senior Manager, AI Engineering

Our recruiting team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential cybersecurity platform provider in their search for a Senior Manager, AI Engineering. Our client is at the forefront of continuous threat exposure management, combining artificial intelligence with security research to help enterprises reduce cyber risk.

This is a remote position for candidates located within approximately 50 miles of Austin, TX or Washington, DC, with occasional in-office presence (typically Thursdays). This reflects a flexible work philosophy that balances remote work with periodic in-person collaboration.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will own two strategically critical product areas:

• AI-Native Intelligence Dashboard: Transform executive and analytical dashboards into AI-first experiences that deliver proactive risk insights, natural language querying, automated remediation prioritization, and measurable reduction in Mean Time to Remediate (MTTR)
• Payments & Monetization: Lead the team responsible for researcher payments and consumption-based billing, ensuring reliable payment systems and scalable contract monetization
• Lead and mentor engineering managers and senior engineers, building scalable systems and practices for consistent AI-powered solution delivery
• Own execution across multiple AI engineering teams, ensuring delivery commitments are met and teams are accountable for customer-visible impact
• Embed AI-powered workflows, agentic systems, and responsible AI practices into product design and operations
• Guide teams through evolving AI technologies and shifting priorities while maintaining clarity and momentum
• Apply first principles problem-solving to complex AI and product challenges, designing durable, scalable solutions
• Use data-driven decision making to assess system performance, model quality, and operational health
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Data, Security Research, and Engineering leaders to align AI engineering with company strategy

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience managing product engineering teams, including teams delivering AI-powered or data-intensive systems
• Demonstrated experience leading teams with complex dependencies across engineering, product, and non-technical partners
• Experience developing and mentoring Engineering Managers
• Strong technical foundation in modern software systems that support AI-enabled products
• Must be authorized to work in the USA (visa sponsorship is not available)

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience building or scaling applied AI systems in production environments
• Familiarity with human-in-the-loop, agentic, or automation-driven workflows
• Background in fintech, payments, or monetization systems
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Rails, GraphQL, Apollo, and React

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $240,000 – $280,000 base salary. Our client also offers equity stock options, comprehensive health benefits (medical, vision, dental), life and disability insurance, retirement plans, paid public holidays and unlimited PTO, paid maternity and parental leave, leaves of absence, and an Employee Assistance Program.
