Senior HTML5 Game Developer

About This Opportunity

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential iGaming organization seeking a Senior HTML5 Game Developer in Pressig. This full-time position is on an indefinite freelance basis for contractors within the Central European Timezone +/-2.

You'll join a skilled game development crew of 14 professionals, reporting to the Team Lead Frontend Games. Your technical expertise and passion for online gaming will contribute to delivering high-quality slot experiences to market.

Responsibilities

• Game Development & Implementation: Translate game design documents into HTML5 presentations using TypeScript (latest standard). Break down features into manageable work structures and create project tickets. Implement game features following best practices with well-typed, well-documented code.
• Version Control & Code Management: Work with Git (GitLab), committing code daily to feature branches. Follow semantic commit conventions including ticket IDs. Submit merge requests when work is completed and defect-free, addressing reviewer feedback appropriately.
• Visual & Audio Effects Implementation: Integrate static art, animations (Spine), image sequences, and particles using libraries like PIXI.js. Collaborate with technical artists to optimize assets for efficient implementation and rendering performance.
• Code Quality & Optimization: Ensure clean, tested code with strong documentation. Use browser developer tools to track FPS, memory, CPU/GPU usage, and draw calls. Maintain unit and integration test coverage while removing dead code and optimizing assets.
• Game Code Building & Delivery: Utilize Webpack for bundling, minification, and optimization. Optimize images, text, and assets for production-ready builds. Enhance CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment and ensure games are optimized for various network protocols.
• Collaboration & Development Process: Work closely with Game Producers, Art Directors, and QA teams. Conduct game demos for Product Owners and address QA-reported defects with highest urgency. Follow structured development milestones from Alpha through Beta phases.

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of Game Development experience and 5 years overall development experience
• Fluent in TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6) and HTML5/CSS3
• Highly experienced with PixiJS, Phaser, or equivalent frameworks
• Complete fluency in English, written and spoken
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experienced with Git, JIRA (or equivalent project tracking software), and GSuite
• Attention to detail, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
• Experience with Spine animations, including optimization
• Nice to have: Experience with WebGL or other graphics programming APIs, background in statically typed languages, creativity, and familiarity with casino slot games
