Senior GenAI Solution Engineer (all genders)

We are representing a confidential technology consultancy serving enterprise clients across Europe. Our client builds AI-powered solutions for data-driven transformation at scale. They offer an international, agile environment with offices across major German cities and flexible remote arrangements.

As a Senior GenAI Solution Engineer, you will drive production-grade AI systems from concept through deployment, working directly with business stakeholders to deliver measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI solutions across the full lifecycle—from rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept to scalable production deployment in highly available environments
• Build robust Python backend services integrating state-of-the-art LLMs that perform reliably under production load
• Design and implement autonomous agent systems with tool calling, memory management, and safety guardrails to automate real-world workflows
• Integrate AI agents into the software development lifecycle—AI-assisted coding, code reviews, automated testing, and intelligent documentation
• Own code quality through clean architecture principles, automated testing, and efficient CI/CD pipelines
• Implement evaluation frameworks to measure GenAI performance (accuracy, latency, cost) and drive continuous optimization
• Facilitate client workshops and serve as a technical advisor, translating complex AI concepts into business impact
• Assess technical feasibility and guide stakeholders in turning innovative ideas into sustainable, production-ready products

What We're Looking For

• Production-ready Python expertise: API development (FastAPI, Pydantic), containerization (Docker), automated testing, Git, and CI/CD—well beyond notebook scripting
• Strong architectural understanding: SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, dependency injection, async/concurrency patterns, and ORMs (SQLAlchemy)
• Hands-on multimodal LLM experience: Proficiency with leading model APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and cloud platforms (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock)
• Advanced GenAI engineering: Prompt engineering, structured outputs (JSON), and tool/function calling
• End-to-end RAG expertise: Building full pipelines including embeddings, vector databases (pgvector), advanced retrieval, re-ranking, and evaluation
• Agent development: Designing and orchestrating autonomous systems (e.g., Pydantic AI) with memory management and guardrails
• Consulting skills: Direct client experience facilitating workshops, presenting results, and navigating complex stakeholder environments
• Languages: Fluent German (C1) and professional English
• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Information Systems, or comparable field
• Willingness to travel: Regular on-site work at client premises as needed
