About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AWS consulting partner seeking a Senior Cloud Consultant specializing in Data & AI Engineering. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge generative AI and agentic AI solutions while enjoying a progressive 4-day work week structure. Our client operates across multiple European locations and maintains strong partnerships with leading cloud providers.

As a senior technical contributor, you'll lead end-to-end architecture and delivery for data platforms and AI solutions, working directly with enterprise clients to transform business challenges into scalable cloud implementations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable AWS architectures for data platforms, generative AI, and agentic AI solutions from initial workshops through production deployment
• Ensure security, performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework principles
• Make architectural decisions with clear trade-off analysis and comprehensive documentation that enables team collaboration
• Translate ambiguous business requirements into measurable technical specifications and clear objectives
• Develop generative AI and agentic AI solutions using AWS Bedrock, agent frameworks, and orchestration tools
• Build agent architectures incorporating tool use, multi-step orchestration, and MCP-based integrations with clearly defined scope boundaries
• Implement human-in-the-loop patterns including approval workflows, escalation logic, and review automation
• Establish evaluation frameworks and quality assurance processes for LLM and agent systems
• Participate in technical pre-sales activities, project scoping, and statement of work development
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, translating complex technical concepts into clear business value
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal standards, best practices, and training programs

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud, data, software, or ML engineering, including 2+ years with ownership of end-to-end architectures
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services and infrastructure
• Solid experience in data engineering and ETL architecture design
• Proven experience delivering generative AI and agentic AI projects
• Advanced Python programming skills
• Fluent English and professional-level German language skills

Preferred qualifications:

• AWS certifications
• Experience in pre-sales or technical leadership roles
• Background in consulting or customer-facing project delivery
• Experience with AWS Connect
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform or comparable)
• LLM customization, fine-tuning, and distillation experience
• Practical MLOps experience including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
• Experience with Kafka or streaming technologies

Pay
