(Senior) Full-Stack Robotics Software Engineer (m/f/d) VLA & Humanoid Robotics

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential robotics organization in Munich seeking a Full-Stack Robotics Software Engineer to build and maintain the software stack that runs vision-language-action models on advanced robotic platforms. You will ensure these models run reliably in production environments.

• VLA Integration: Integrate vision-language-action models into robotic software stacks to drive manipulation and task execution on various platforms.
• Software Architecture: Design and implement software components and architectures for AI-enhanced robotics applications.
• Platform Integration: Develop applications that remain functional across evolving hardware configurations and sensor arrays.
• Stack Maintenance: Review and maintain the shared software stack used across multiple robot projects.
• Research Integration: Monitor developments in robotics and AI software, evaluating and integrating promising external components alongside internal development efforts.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills:

• Background: Degree in robotics, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field, or equivalent qualification, plus approximately four years building software for robotic systems.
• VLA Models: Hands-on experience building or integrating vision-language-action models on physical robots.
• Core Stack: Proficiency in C++, CMake, Python, shell scripting, and Git for building and maintaining production robotics software.
• ROS 2: Experience developing robot software using ROS 2.

Beneficial Skills:

• Experience working with dual-arm or humanoid robot platforms.
• Working knowledge of computer vision and robot control methods.
