Senior Full stack Engineer

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential global healthcare technology organization seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their diabetes care division. This is a fully remote position based anywhere in the United States.

You'll be working on a modern SaaS cloud platform that serves users in 49+ countries and processes billions of daily transactions. This medical device platform requires engineers who understand the critical importance of security, compliance, and reliability in healthcare technology.

Responsibilities

• Learn and enhance existing React and Go-based healthcare platforms
• Design and implement services, features, and components utilizing React, Node, and Go
• Develop high-volume, low-latency services for a global healthcare platform
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and integrate APIs that enable users to share medical data with partner systems
• Design and implement highly maintainable, unit-testable code
• Work directly with InfoSec teams to design and implement secure solutions
• Collaborate with team members to shape and define API contracts
• Ensure performance, uptime, and scale while maintaining high standards of code quality
• Contribute to architectural and operational decisions
• Build internal tooling and APIs to improve business and engineering processes
• Create diagrams, flowcharts, and models illustrating solution component design and workflow
• Participate as an engaged Agile team member through development, test, and delivery

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience in an Agile environment
• Full stack development experience with Go, React, Node, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JSX
• Strong computer science fundamentals and software development experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
• Proven track record working cross-functionally in fast-paced environments, including with distributed teams
• Experience conducting effective and collaborative code reviews
• Practical experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices
• Experience contributing to scalable, highly available architecture design
• Understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Strong Object Oriented Programming skills and ability to build modular, unit-testable code
• Experience designing and maintaining complex asynchronous messaging and backend processing jobs
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with multilanguage support, internationalization, or content management systems
• Deep backend expertise in Go and/or React
• Experience with relational and document-oriented datastores (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Data visualization experience with D3
• Practical Linux knowledge
• Understanding of Docker containers and orchestration services (Docker Swarm, ECS, Kubernetes)
• Experience with Grafana, Segment, Sentry, feature flagging, or Mixpanel
• Open-source software development experience

Pay

This role involves continuous sitting for prolonged periods and keyboard use for 50% or more of the workday.
