Solutions Architect – Strat Media

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential data platform organization in their search for a Solutions Architect specializing in strategic media accounts. In this role, you will serve as the technical architect and trusted advisor for complex data and AI implementations, leading customers from initial discovery through production deployment and beyond.

This is a customer-facing technical leadership position where you'll own end-to-end technical strategy, drive platform adoption, and solve some of the most challenging data problems across the media and entertainment sector. You'll develop deep specialization in a technical domain while orchestrating cross-functional resources to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own complete technical strategy for assigned accounts, from architecture design through production deployment and consumption growth
• Lead complex architecture discussions and design scalable, production-grade solutions spanning data engineering, machine learning, AI, and real-time analytics
• Serve as trusted technical advisor to customer architects, engineering leads, and technical directors
• Drive technical wins in competitive scenarios by demonstrating platform differentiation through custom-built solutions and live demonstrations
• Develop and declare an emerging technical specialization, becoming a go-to resource within your team for that domain
• Orchestrate cross-functional resources including specialized architects and partner teams to address complex customer requirements
• Influence product direction by providing structured feedback on customer needs and competitive landscape insights
• Lead whiteboarding sessions, design reviews, and technical trade-off analyses with senior stakeholders
• Travel to customer sites approximately 30% of the time

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or senior hands-on technical roles
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL with demonstrated ability to live code, debug, and build solutions in real-time
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture including scalable pipelines, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native data platforms
• Proficiency with modern data lakehouse platforms or demonstrated ability to achieve proficiency rapidly, with developing specialization in areas such as real-time/streaming, ML/AI, data governance, or migrations
• Proven ability to lead architecture discussions with senior technical stakeholders through whiteboarding, design reviews, and architectural trade-off analysis
• Experience with production deployments on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including infrastructure, security, and governance considerations
• Track record of driving platform adoption and consumption growth within customer accounts
• Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex technical architectures into business value for both technical and executive audiences
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications in data engineering, machine learning, or cloud platforms
• Experience with competitive data platforms and cloud-native services across major providers
• Background at a data/AI technology company or cloud provider
• Industry domain expertise in Financial Services, Healthcare, Retail, Media, or related sectors
