(Senior) Financial Accountant Real Estate (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential real estate investment organization with operations in Leipzig. They are seeking a (Senior) Financial Accountant to join their growing finance department and take ownership of financial accounting across their property portfolio and holding structures.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to work with both German and international reporting standards while contributing to process optimization and strategic projects.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage day-to-day financial accounting for property companies and holding entities
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with German Commercial Code (HGB) and Luxembourg GAAP
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulatory deadlines
• Serve as point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners
• Prepare annual tax documentation for tax advisers
• Support optimization of financial processes and systems
• Contribute to diverse finance department projects, bringing ideas and specialist knowledge to the team

What We're Looking For

• Degree in business with accounting specialization, or commercial apprenticeship with 3+ years of professional experience; further training as a chartered accountant is advantageous
• In-depth knowledge of standard accounting software, ideally DATEV or Business Central
• Strong aptitude for numbers and ability to quickly grasp complex financial interrelationships
• Conscientious, structured, and results-oriented work approach
• Ability to maintain overview while managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
• Capability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
• Fluency in German (C2 level) and English (B2 level), both spoken and written
