About the Role
As a Senior Estimator specializing in water and wastewater systems, you'll be responsible for developing detailed cost estimates for treatment facilities, conveyance systems, pump stations, and related infrastructure projects. Your expertise will influence bid strategy, resource allocation, and contract negotiation for key water utility clients across the region and beyond.
What You'll Do

- Analyze material costs, equipment pricing, labor rates, and subcontractor quotes to build competitive and accurate estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and senior estimators to refine scope assumptions and identify cost drivers
- Review plan sets, specifications, and bid documents to ensure technical accuracy and completeness of estimates
- Track historical project costs and actual performance to inform future estimating models and risk assessment

- Strong proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office; familiarity with industry-standard tools (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar) is valued
- In-depth knowledge of municipal water/wastewater system components, construction methods, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying cost analyses to diverse stakeholders
- Professional estimator certification or pursuit thereof (CPE, ASPE) preferred
- Experience with both design-bid-build and design-build project delivery models
