Project Director – Industrial Water Job Details

Black & Veatch is seeking an experienced Project Director - Industrial Water to lead complex industrial water initiatives from our Atlanta, Georgia office. This full-time leadership role places you at the forefront of delivering critical water infrastructure for industrial clients.

About the Role

As Project Director - Industrial Water, you will own the strategic direction and successful execution of large-scale industrial water programs across the full project lifecycle. Based in Atlanta, this on-site position calls for a seasoned leader who can balance technical excellence, client relationships, and commercial performance while guiding multidisciplinary teams toward shared goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the planning, delivery, and overall performance of industrial water projects from concept through completion.
• Serve as the primary point of accountability for project scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Build and maintain trusted partnerships with clients, stakeholders, and project sponsors.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate engineering, design, and construction teams to achieve project milestones.
• Identify and manage project risks while driving solutions that protect outcomes and value.
• Support business development efforts and contribute to winning new industrial water opportunities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience directing major industrial water or related infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of guiding teams and managing complex programs.
• Proven ability to oversee budgets, schedules, and contractual commitments.
• Excellent communication and relationship-management capabilities with clients and internal partners.
• Willingness to work on-site from the Atlanta, Georgia location.
