Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Manager - Industrial Manufacturing to join its team in Quivira, Johnson County, where you will lead complex manufacturing initiatives from concept through completion.

About the Role

In this position you will oversee end‑to‑end project delivery for industrial manufacturing clients, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets, schedules, and risk while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.

What You'll Do

• Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, and milestone tracking.
• Facilitate kickoff meetings, progress reviews, and final hand‑over sessions with stakeholders.
• Monitor cost performance, forecast variances, and implement corrective actions to keep projects within budget.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Leverage Black & Veatch’s engineering expertise to provide technical guidance and resolve design‑construction interface issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation, prepare status reports, and communicate status to senior leadership and clients.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the project portfolio.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field; PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience managing industrial manufacturing projects, preferably in sectors such as food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, or automotive.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, manage multiple concurrent projects, and deliver results on time and within budget.
• Strong proficiency with project scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost control software.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills, with a customer‑focused mindset.
• Willingness to travel periodically to client sites and Black & Veatch offices as required.
