Senior Content Marketing Manager, Merchant – EMEA

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential multi-brand marketplace organization seeking a Senior Content Marketing Manager to lead merchant-focused content programmes across EMEA. Reporting to the B2B Content Team Lead, you will own content strategy that helps business partners improve operations, discover growth opportunities, and maximize their platform presence.

This is a senior individual contributor role based in London, combining strategic thinking with hands-on content creation. You will identify merchant challenges worth addressing, develop content strategies, and lead cross-functional delivery while writing and editing much of the content yourself.

Responsibilities

• Merchant editorial programmes: Build and manage a focused content plan including merchant blogs, practical business guidance, and thought leadership. Use merchant research, frontline feedback, and performance data to prioritize investments.
• Merchant stories and proof: Develop a repeatable case-study programme from identifying merchants and conducting interviews through securing evidence, approvals, and reusable assets.
• Merchant campaigns: Lead content strategy and delivery for merchant initiatives including operational improvements and seasonal campaigns. Establish audience, desired actions, content approach, responsibilities, and success measures before production.
• Content creation and quality: Write and edit compelling content across articles, reports, case studies, emails, and campaign assets. Brief designers, freelancers, and contributors as needed.
• Multi-brand delivery: Coordinate stakeholders, approvals, and localization, adapting content to the needs of each brand and market.
• Performance and optimization: Set baselines and targets, monitor results, and use data to improve, expand, or discontinue content activities.

You will partner with Growth on website and acquisition content, with GTM on priority launches, and with CRM on merchant communications. Within the Content team, you will collaborate with owners of merchant education, advertising, commerce platform, and social content.

Success will be measured through merchant action (proportion taking intended next steps), useful engagement (meaningful consumption of priority content), and adoption of merchant proof (case study reuse by Commercial and Marketing teams).

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record independently building and improving B2B content programmes with measurable results
• Excellent writing, editing, and interviewing skills supported by a portfolio of substantive work such as case studies, editorial programmes, reports, or campaigns
• Experience leading cross-functional campaigns including setting priorities, resolving competing requests, and coordinating delivery
• Confidence using analytics and research to make decisions, define success, and explain attribution limitations
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to transform complex product or operational information into useful merchant content
• Experience adapting content across markets, working with specialists, and managing external contributors
• Background in marketplaces, merchant services, hospitality, retail, or B2B technology highly valuable
