2nd Level Supporter / IT-Systemadministrator (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential IT services organization based in Hamburg that is seeking a skilled 2nd Level Support Engineer / System Administrator to join their technical operations team.

In this role, you will serve as the technical bridge between end users and complex IT infrastructure, analyzing issues, implementing solutions, and maintaining stable systems with expertise and genuine commitment. This is not about simply processing tickets—it's about solving real technical challenges and managing critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for escalated tickets covering networks, servers, Microsoft 365, VPN, firewalls, and related infrastructure
• Conduct error analysis using modern RMM and monitoring tools with independent resolution authority
• Administer Windows Server, Linux, Microsoft 365, Azure, and virtualization platforms including Hyper-V and Proxmox
• Manage user administration, patch management, backup verification, and system monitoring
• Deliver direct technical support and consulting to clients, communicating complex topics in understandable terms
• Implement and maintain security measures including MFA configuration, endpoint security, and vulnerability remediation
• Participate in security incident response and GDPR compliance activities
• Support technical projects such as migrations, cloud implementations, Microsoft 365 rollouts, and firewall replacements

What We're Looking For

• Completed IT vocational training (e.g., Fachinformatiker Systemintegration or equivalent qualification)
• Minimum 3 years of professional IT experience; relevant certifications are advantageous
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Exchange Online
• Foundational networking skills covering VLAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and firewall technologies
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or Proxmox
• Analytical thinking and structured work approach
• Customer-oriented mindset with professional communication skills
• Experience working with RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) systems
• Authorization to work in Germany

Pay
