Senior Content & Editorial Lead

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Senior Content & Editorial Lead to shape and elevate their brand voice across all markets and channels. In this role, you will:

• Set and enforce editorial standards across a global content team of more than 10 content managers, providing direct feedback that sharpens ideas and reduces revision cycles
• Review, edit and approve copy across campaigns, social media, CRM, retail and sales channels, ensuring every piece maintains brand consistency and commercial clarity
• Build and evolve the verbal identity system including tone of voice guidelines, messaging hierarchies, approved terminology and channel-specific guidance
• Partner with Design, Marketing, Product and regional teams to translate briefs into clear creative direction for internal writers and freelancers
• Brief, manage and quality-control freelance copywriters and external agencies to protect brand integrity in outsourced work
• Evaluate AI writing tools and establish standards for their responsible use to maintain efficiency without compromising quality or distinctiveness

What We're Looking For

• A portfolio demonstrating distinctive, commercially effective writing across brand, campaign and digital formats that goes beyond competent copy
• Personal experience defining, documenting and enforcing a tone of voice across a complex organization, not simply contributing to existing guidelines
• Strong knowledge of content strategy beyond execution: building messaging hierarchies and editorial frameworks that others can follow
• Proven ability to give direct, constructive feedback that raises the standard of a content team's output over time
• Comfort moving between strategic work (standards, systems) and hands-on execution when senior creative judgement is needed
• Location: London, office-first work arrangement
