Responsibilities

Our client, a leading digital transformation consultancy serving the public sector, is seeking a Senior Consultant to advise government agencies on complex digitalization initiatives within migration and internal affairs domains. In this role, you will:

• Advise public administration clients on demanding IT and digitalization projects with particular focus on migration, internal affairs, and internal security topics
• Collaborate with clients to develop administrative processes and digital services, challenge existing workflows, and structure decisions on complex regulatory matters
• Analyze intricate organizational, procedural, and domain-specific challenges to develop target operating models, strategic options, and concrete recommendations
• Design and facilitate workshops, interviews, and alignment sessions, bringing together diverse perspectives and guiding stakeholders through decision-making and change processes
• Bridge administration, domain expertise, and technology by structuring and prioritizing requirements and translating functional needs into viable digital solutions alongside interdisciplinary teams
• Support implementation from concept through go-live—spanning analysis, requirements gathering, design, piloting, testing, and deployment—while maintaining focus on user adoption and sustainable solution integration

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience consulting public sector clients on IT, digitalization, or transformation initiatives, with demonstrated ownership of advisory tasks or functional work packages
• Ability to rapidly master complex subject matter, analyze and structure relationships, and derive sound strategic options, recommendations, target models, and concepts
• Experience collaborating with external clients and diverse stakeholders, communicating effectively across different organizational levels
• Desire to move beyond pure consulting into implementation, working with interdisciplinary teams to bring concepts to life and see their real-world impact
• Ideally, experience with public administration digitalization projects and/or domain knowledge in migration, internal affairs, or internal security; familiarity with German digital governance frameworks, data protection, or IT service management is a plus
• Completed university degree preferred
• Excellent German language skills (written and spoken) and good English proficiency required
• Note: Depending on the role, a confidential security clearance may be required after an offer is extended
