Senior Consultant für digitale Verwaltungsprojekte – Migration und Inneres (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential public-sector consultancy seeking a Senior Consultant for digital government transformation projects in Munich. In this role, you will:

• Advise public administration clients on complex IT and digitalization initiatives, with a focus on migration, internal affairs, and public security topics
• Collaborate with clients to develop administrative processes and digital services, questioning existing workflows and preparing structured decisions
• Analyze complex domain-specific, organizational, and procedural challenges and develop target visions, options, and concrete recommendations
• Design and facilitate workshops, interviews, and alignment sessions, bringing together diverse perspectives and guiding stakeholders through decision-making and change processes
• Bridge the gap between administration, domain expertise, and technology by structuring and prioritizing requirements and translating needs into viable digital solutions with interdisciplinary teams
• Accompany implementation from analysis and requirements gathering through concept development, piloting, testing, and go-live while maintaining focus on user acceptance and sustainable integration

What We're Looking For

• Relevant experience advising public sector clients on IT, digitalization, or transformation initiatives, with demonstrated ownership of consulting tasks or technical work packages
• Ability to quickly develop deep understanding of complex domain topics, analyze and structure relationships, and derive actionable options, recommendations, target visions, and concepts
• Experience collaborating with external clients and diverse stakeholders, communicating confidently across different organizational levels
• Interest not only in consulting but also in bringing concepts to implementation alongside interdisciplinary teams and seeing real-world impact
• Ideally, experience with public administration digitalization projects and/or domain knowledge in migration, internal affairs, or public security; familiarity with OZG, EfA, FIM, data protection, or IT service management is a plus
• Completed university degree providing relevant foundation for this role
• Excellent German language skills (written and spoken) and good English proficiency
