We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization seeking a Senior Consultant to join their Energy Markets & Economics team in Augsburg. Our client is at the forefront of the energy transition, providing strategic advisory services for large-scale renewable energy projects across Europe.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced energy economist to contribute to mission-critical projects that are shaping the future of sustainable power generation and storage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive market analyses, economic assessments, and expert reports for photovoltaic, battery energy storage systems, and hybrid renewable projects
• Analyze electricity markets, market mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks throughout the European energy sector
• Evaluate business models, route-to-market strategies, and flexibility solutions for energy storage applications
• Conduct detailed cash flow modeling, sensitivity analyses, and scenario planning to support investment decisions
• Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations to clients, investors, and project stakeholders
• Develop and enhance existing consulting products while creating innovative services in the Energy Markets & Economics domain
• Collaborate with international teams and coordinate closely with Sales and Business Development functions

What We're Looking For

• University degree in Energy Economics, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• Several years of professional experience in the energy sector, market analysis, management consulting, or renewable project development
• Deep understanding of European electricity markets, energy market dynamics, and regulatory requirements
• Proven experience developing financial models, economic assessments, and data-driven decision frameworks
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to structure complex topics and communicate effectively to diverse audiences
• High degree of initiative, accountability, customer orientation, and entrepreneurial thinking
• Excellent written and spoken German and English language skills
