About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential education technology organization in their search for a Senior Business Analyst to support their Marketing function. This is a strategic business analysis role focused on translating marketing technology needs, data flows, and campaign processes into clear IT requirements. You'll serve as the bridge between Marketing stakeholders and technical delivery teams, bringing both systems thinking and marketing domain fluency to complex initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the trusted business partner to the Marketing function, maintaining active presence in their operating rhythm and understanding priorities before they're formally articulated
- Lead discovery for complex, multi-team initiatives involving marketing technology systems, CRM/CDP platforms, campaign management, and reporting infrastructure
- Facilitate workshops and alignment sessions that produce actionable decisions across Marketing, Sales Operations, and IT delivery teams
- Structure ambiguous business needs into clear, high-quality requirements for martech solutions with minimal rework from QA or development
- Anticipate downstream technical and business impacts; surface risks before they become blockers
- Own UAT coordination across multiple teams and workstreams, ensuring coverage, quality, and completeness
- Drive post-deployment validation and change management; track adoption and stay present until solutions are working as intended
- Maintain accurate, current process maps and documentation across the marketing domain beyond individual project cycles
- Design and validate AI-assisted workflows for domain-level tasks, setting quality standards and conducting periodic accuracy reviews
- Proactively identify functional gaps and opportunities; bring recommendations grounded in both organizational context and industry best practices
- Mentor peers on discovery, stakeholder engagement, and requirements quality; contribute to BA practice standards
What We're Looking For
- Deep expertise in IT business analysis fundamentals: requirements gathering, systems thinking, and SDLC/Agile delivery methodologies
- Marketing domain fluency sufficient to partner credibly with Marketing stakeholders on martech systems, data flows, campaign processes, and analytics needs
- Demonstrated ability to shape and reframe problem statements, challenging assumptions and identifying root causes
- Track record of building trusted advisor relationships with senior stakeholders across business and technical functions
- Experience leading discovery and facilitating cross-functional alignment on complex, multi-team initiatives
- Strong command of requirements quality standards with ability to anticipate impacts that others may not surface
- Experience with marketing technology ecosystems, lead management processes, and marketing-to-sales data flows
- Ability to translate between marketing process language and technical implementation requirements
- Active mentorship approach and contributions to broader business analysis practice and standards
- Experience designing validation frameworks and quality checkpoints for complex domain workflows
