About This Opportunity
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential beauty and e-commerce organization based in Berlin. We're seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations and support compliance as the company continues to scale. This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in their Prenzlauer Berg office.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations including bookkeeping, invoicing, and payment processing
- Take ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements preparation
- Support statutory audits and ensure compliance with German tax and legal regulations
- Implement ERP systems and establish new accounting processes and workflows from the ground up
- Prepare cash flow statements and monitor cash positions
- Collaborate cross-functionally to provide financial insights to other departments
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 6+ years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting
- Fluent in English; additional languages such as German, Italian, French, or Spanish are a strong plus
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and a hands-on approach
- Process-driven mindset with enthusiasm for building new systems and workflows
- Experience in e-commerce and cross-border VAT considerations is advantageous
- Knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) preferred
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus
