Senior Accountant

Tersus-solutions is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its team in Englewood, CO. This full-time role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, supporting monthly closes, and strengthening overall accounting processes for the organization.

As Senior Accountant at Tersus-solutions in Englewood, CO, you will handle advanced accounting tasks that keep financial operations running smoothly and compliant. Your Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Lead general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations to ensure data completeness and accuracy
• Manage month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, adjustments, and variance analysis
• Support external and internal audits by assembling documentation, answering inquiries, and implementing recommended controls
• Analyze financial results, identify trends, and prepare clear management reports and forecasts
• Assist with budgeting processes and help monitor performance against established targets
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax rules, regulations, and internal policies
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting questions and improve process efficiency

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field
• Several years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including senior-level responsibilities
• Solid working knowledge of GAAP, financial statement preparation, and general ledger systems
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize work, and maintain high attention to detail
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills suitable for cross-functional settings
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis and reporting
• CPA, CMA, or similar professional credential preferred but not required
• Experience supporting audit processes and implementing internal controls is a plus
