What This Role Involves

As a School-Based SLP Remote at Telespeech-careers in CA, you will work directly within educational settings to identify and treat speech, language, and related communication challenges among school-age learners. The work centers on practical, evidence-based intervention that aligns with classroom goals and special education requirements common across California schools. You will partner with educators and families to create consistent support that builds student confidence and functional communication skills throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech sound production, language, fluency, voice, and social communication needs
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized education program goals based on evaluation data and team input
• Provide direct therapy that targets articulation, receptive and expressive language, pragmatic skills, and related areas
• Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and caregivers
• Document evaluation findings, session notes, progress data, and service logs in a timely and accurate manner
• Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP conferences, and other multidisciplinary team discussions
• Ensure services and records align with applicable California education codes and federal special education standards

Who We're Looking For

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program
• Current California speech-language pathologist license or active eligibility to secure one
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology or clear pathway to obtain it
• Familiarity with school-based service delivery models and special education processes
• Ability to use assessment tools, interpret results, and write clear, complete reports
• Strong organizational skills and comfort working as part of collaborative school teams
