About the Role
As an RN in this Metro Denver float pool, you'll provide direct patient care in labor and delivery settings at University of Colorado Hospital (Aurora), Highlands Ranch Hospital, and Longs Peak Hospital. This position allows you to build expertise across multiple facilities while specializing in the critical moments of childbirth and postpartum recovery. Float pool assignments offer scheduling flexibility and exposure to diverse clinical environments across the greater Denver region.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients and their families, supporting safe, evidence-based obstetric care
- Monitor maternal and fetal health status, recognize changes, and collaborate with physicians and midwives on clinical responses
- Rotate assignments between University of Colorado Hospital, Highlands Ranch Hospital, and Longs Peak Hospital based on staffing needs
- Work day and night shifts as scheduled, adapting quickly to each facility's protocols and team dynamics
- Document care, communicate with interdisciplinary teams, and support patients through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods
What We're Looking For
- Current RN license in Colorado
- Obstetric nursing experience or demonstrated readiness to specialize in labor and delivery
- Willingness to work rotating day and night shifts across multiple Parker-area and Douglas County hospital locations
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and stress management in a dynamic hospital environment
- Commitment to family-centered, compassionate patient care
Position Details
Full-time, 72 hours per two-week pay period. Day and night shift rotation across three hospitals. Compensation is $35.29–$54.71 per hour, based on relevant experience.
