RISE Academy 2026-2027 School Year Full-Time Elementary Homeroom Teacher (K–6)

The Opportunity

This full-time homeroom teaching position offers you the chance to shape young minds at a critical stage of their development. You'll create an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment where students grow academically, socially, and spiritually. Working within RISE Academy's experiential and authentic learning framework, you'll collaborate with families and community partners to support each child's unique potential and celebrate their progress across all dimensions of growth.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction across core subjects including language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies
• Create a welcoming classroom culture grounded in the school's values of faith, family, and community connection
• Assess student progress through multiple methods and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Build meaningful relationships with families through regular communication and partnership in students' educational journeys
• Facilitate experiential learning activities that connect classroom content to real-world applications
• Mentor students in social-emotional development, resilience, and ethical decision-making
• Participate in professional development and contribute to a collaborative teaching community

Who We're Looking For

• Valid California teaching credential or ability to obtain one (elementary or general education)
• Proven experience teaching elementary students, preferably in grades K–6
• Strong commitment to student-centered, experiential, and culturally responsive pedagogy
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with families from diverse backgrounds
• Enthusiasm for integrating faith-based values and community engagement into the learning experience
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to school initiatives and professional learning communities
