The Residential Instructor position with Easterseals in Lancaster, NH places you at the heart of residential support, where you help create structure, encourage skill development, and maintain a stable daily environment. You will serve as a consistent presence who promotes positive routines, models appropriate interactions, and works toward person-centered goals. Full-time commitment is essential so residents receive continuous, reliable guidance throughout the week.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead residents through personalized morning and evening routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Instruct and practice life skills such as money management, community navigation, hygiene, and social communication to foster independence.
• Monitor individual progress, note behavioral or health changes, and record clear observations for the care team.
• Facilitate group activities and leisure opportunities that encourage engagement, cooperation, and recreation within and outside the home.
• Uphold a clean, organized, and hazard-free residential space while following established safety and emergency protocols.
• Partner with coworkers during shift handovers and staff meetings to ensure consistent implementation of each resident’s support plan.
