Southeast Elevator is hiring a Residential Elevator Mechanic in Training for our Lake Park, Palm Beach County location. This full-time apprenticeship offers comprehensive training, mentoring, and hands-on experience in residential elevator installation and service.
Position Summary
Join our team as an apprentice and launch a career in residential elevator mechanics. You'll work directly with experienced technicians who will mentor you through the fundamentals of elevator installation and servicing. This is a structured training program designed to develop your technical skills, safety awareness, and professional knowledge. Many of our successful apprentices advance to lead mechanic roles within 12–18 months, with corresponding increases in responsibility and compensation both during and after the program.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of residential elevators, learning proper techniques and safety protocols
- Support the servicing and maintenance of home elevator systems
- Work alongside experienced mechanics to understand mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components
- Follow safety guidelines and workplace best practices on job sites throughout the region
- Document work and assist with job site organization and cleanup
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in confined spaces
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced mentors
- Reliable transportation to job sites in Lake Park and Palm Beach County
- Valid driver's license
