About the Role
As a Renewable Senior Performance Engineer at Sargent & Lundy, you will lead energy yield assessments for large solar photovoltaic developments and grow your expertise across solar PV and battery energy storage performance modeling. This full-time, in-person-friendly position is based in The Gap, Chicago and follows a hybrid arrangement requiring three days of on-site collaboration each week.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform energy yield assessments for utility-scale solar PV projects across the development and operational lifecycle.
- Build and refine performance models for solar photovoltaic systems and battery energy storage installations.
- Analyze production data and technical inputs to validate project performance expectations.
- Partner with consulting colleagues and clients to translate engineering findings into actionable guidance.
- Expand your technical scope across emerging renewable and energy storage technologies.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience producing solar PV energy yield assessments for utility-scale projects.
- Working knowledge of solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage performance modeling.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex results clearly.
- Willingness to work on a hybrid schedule based in The Gap, Chicago, with three in-office days per week.
