Join ChristianaCare's Wilmington Hospital as a dedicated Registered Nurse on our Medical Surgical unit, serving patients throughout Wilmington and New Castle County. We're seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented RN to deliver expert patient care during evening and night shifts on our 4 West unit.
About the Role
This is a part-time position offering a night shift schedule from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with 44 hours of work distributed bi-weekly. You'll care for patients across diverse medical and surgical specialties while receiving a 20% night shift differential on your base pay. Weekend and holiday assignments will be scheduled according to departmental needs.
What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across varied medical and surgical conditions
- Perform clinical assessments, monitor vital signs, and accurately document patient status
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, care teams, and support staff to create and execute individualized care plans
- Respond promptly to patient needs and provide education to patients and families
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments and uphold infection prevention standards
- Advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes throughout your shift
What We're Looking For
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Delaware
- Professional nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a dynamic healthcare setting
