Red Team Operator – AVP

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential financial services organization seeking a Red Team Operator at the AVP level. Our talent team is conducting a search for an experienced security professional who excels at adversary emulation and full-scope offensive security operations. This is a remote position based in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-scope Red Team engagements aligned to adversarial objectives across cyber, physical, social engineering, and process attack surfaces
• Design and deliver end-to-end phishing and social engineering campaigns, including infrastructure management (domains, redirectors, email services, landing pages) and payload development
• Deploy, operate, and optimize Command and Control (C2) frameworks such as Cobalt Strike, Nighthawk, or similar platforms to support adversary emulation activities
• Develop comprehensive documentation and reports for senior stakeholders on penetration test findings and remediation guidance
• Assess the effectiveness of security controls by simulating advanced attacker behaviors and identifying opportunities to strengthen organizational defenses
• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to identify emerging cyber-attack techniques, tools, and technologies
• Research and identify emerging vulnerabilities, exploit codes, and cyber-attacks to develop testing methodologies
• Develop and enhance custom tooling, offensive tradecraft, and defense-evasion techniques to emulate sophisticated threat actors

What We're Looking For

Required Experience and Skills:

• Proven experience executing full-scope Red Team engagements across cyber, physical, social engineering, and process attack surfaces
• Hands-on experience designing and delivering phishing and social engineering campaigns with supporting infrastructure
• Demonstrated expertise deploying and operating C2 frameworks for adversary emulation activities including initial access, post-exploitation, persistence, and lateral movement
• Experience assessing security controls by simulating advanced attacker behaviors
• Strong collaboration skills working with security teams and stakeholders to translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Excellent analytical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving abilities

Highly Valued Skills:

• Experience developing custom tooling and offensive tradecraft to emulate sophisticated threat actors
• Ability to research, prototype, and execute innovative attack methodologies
• Industry-recognized certifications such as OSCP, OSEP, CRTO, CRTP, CREST, CCSAS, or CCRTS
• Programming and scripting skills to build, customize, and automate tools for operational efficiency
• Experience navigating technical challenges in dynamic environments
